ATP > Towards the end of the season for Alexander Zverev

Returning obviously too soon from his serious ankle ligament injury contracted during his semi‐final against Rafael Nadal at Roland‐Garros on June 3, Alexander Zverev could not play again for the season.

While he has just announced his withdrawal from the Seoul tournaments (September 26 to October 2) and Tokyo (October 3 to 9), the German, who suffers from bone edema and who could be absent for another time, will most likely not play again in 2022.

If the Paris Masters 1000 is still a long way off (from October 31 to November 6), it is difficult to see how the 25-year-old could return to 100% of his abilities by then without the risk of a new relapse.

Sascha should therefore play the card of caution and draw a definitive line on this decidedly complicated year 2022.
