Australian Hooper out of Wales with concussion

The third line of the XV of Australia Michael Hooper will not participate in the last match of the Wallabies European tour against Wales on Saturday in Cardiff due to a concussion, announced Wednesday the Australian selection. ““Hoops” is out of the test match this weekend. He will return to Australia on Thursday. See you next year, Hoops“, tweeted the Wallabies. The 31-year-old flanker showed symptoms of concussion after his team lost to Ireland (13-10) on Saturday in Dublin.

His absence adds to an already injured list of six players: fullback Andrew Kellaway, center Hunter Paisami, hooker Dave Porecki, prop Taniela Tupou, third line center Rob Valetini and scrum half Nic White . Hooper, former captain of the Wallabies, made his return to international level at the end of October against Scotland after a break linked to psychological problems. In August, the Australian international with 124 caps announced in Mendoza his decision not to face Argentina and to return home.

Before the fifth and final match of their European tour, the Wallabies have a record of three defeats – against France (30-29), Italy (28-27) and Ireland – for a single victory, against to Scotland (16-15).
