A crowded room attended, Friday, November 18, the general meeting of the Tennis Club de Beauzelle, interpreted by Pascal Galletti.
The session began with the moral assessment of the year: the leap in membership with 141 registrations (63% increase), the internships, the various championships, a new graduate teacher, the day of doubles where there are mixed leisure players and competition, the outing of the tennis club at Natura Game, and the tournament in June which was a great success. Then, Pascal Galleti spoke about the sporting record and the different results in competitions for young people and adults. He continued with the financial statement.
The president then mentioned certain observations and persistent difficulties, addressing the deputy delegate for sport Gérard Cayuela, present at the meeting. “In terms of exterior lighting, we no longer have any technical problems since the installation of the LEDs. But the same is not true for the interior lighting, which is still deficient”. The elected official specified that the study of the lighting was produced and budgeted for the year 2023. Pascal Galleti insisted again on the not very optimal use of the gymnasium to the detriment of the members and the poor quality of its surface ( peeling linoleum) which compromises effective tennis practice and sometimes causes falls and injuries. There are also reports of regular intrusions of the outdoor grounds by groups of young people in the evening.
Finally, the president announced that the office had resigned and therefore needed renewal. Two members have offered to replace the two resigning members, including Gilles Toma, who has been present for 22 years. Pascal Galletti specified that in one year, the association will need successors to the posts of president, secretary and treasurer, without which the association will be put on hold or will see its accounts closed.
The meeting ended with a convivial aperitif.
