Bogdan won the final against Udvardy

Romania’s Ana Bogdan, seeded No. 3, won two sets to one (6-2, 3-6, 6-1) against Hungary’s Panna Udvardy, seeded No. 2 and won the tournament of Iasi, Sunday morning, at the Baza Sportivă Ciric of Iasi.

Prior to Sunday’s win over Udvardy, the WTA’s No. 93 in the world, Bogdan, ranked No. 75 in the WTA, won against wild card Oana Georgeta Simion (6-0, 6-2), Russia’s Anastasia Zakharova ( 6-1, 6-2), No. 8 seeded Georgian Ekaterine Gorgodze (6-1, 6-2), and Russian qualifier Darya Astakhova (7-6 [5]6-4).

The Hungarian player eliminated Greece’s Despina Papamichail (6-3, 7-5), Reka Luca Jani (6-0, 7-6 [6]), France’s Kristina Mladenovic, seeded n°6 (6-1, 6-2), and Poland’s Maja Chwalinska (6-3, 7-6 [2]).
