Bordeaux ask players to agree to a 20% pay cut

In the obligation to lighten their wage bill, the Girondins have asked several of their players to agree to a salary reduction of up to 20%. Among them: Rafal Straczek, Danylo Ignatenko, Junior Onana and Fransergio. They would be inclined to accept the request of the Bordeaux management. The “low salaries” of the workforce have not yet been affected by this request.

The “lofters” should not accept

The Bordeaux management, on the other hand, sent a letter to several of its “lofters” (Kwateng, Medioub, Zerkane, Niang, Oudin have been training separately since July 4) so that they too make an effort. Given their situation, it is highly unlikely that they will grant this request.

Forced by the DNCG to respect the budget which was presented to the financial policeman, the Girondins cannot for the moment approve the contract of their three summer recruits: Yoann Barbet, Vital Nsimba and Jonas Lössl. Supervised by the DNCG, their payroll is currently nearly €5 million higher than their buyers.
