Céline Boutier in the top 10 of the British Open

How do you analyze your second round?
I had the chance to make some good birdies like on 10 and 11. It was pretty cool, because I managed to get close to the flags which is not easy with the wind there is this week. I also saved good pars like in 18. I found the bunker from the start but I made up for it well by returning a small string. It’s always good to end the game on a high note.

Is it a course where you have to know how to accept that not everything goes as planned?
Yes, it’s really part of the game on this type of track. We know that we are not going to hit all the greens and it is true that we agree to make bogeys. Inevitably, if we can do as little as possible, that’s good. But it’s true that you always have to have a fairly solid little game on the links.

Like Céline Boutier’s best place at the British Open. It was in 2019 on the course of Woburn

On a Major tournament, on a course like Muirfield, with not easy conditions, you are in the top 10 with this weekend.
It’s very rewarding, The course is difficult and it’s true that in a Major, it’s always good to be in this position. Afterwards, I also know that there is still a lot of golf to play and a lot of things can happen this weekend. I try not to think too much about the future.
