The College of the Mare aux Saules in Coignieres (Yvelines) on the highest step. The youngest team (6e-5e) of handball of the establishment won the title of UNSS academic champion.
After being titled at the beginning of June departmental championsthe college girls traveled to Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) to face the champions and vice-champions of the departments of the academy.
First academic title for college
In pool, Coignières beat Nanterre (6-2) and Epinay-sous-Orge (5-1) before being held in check by Villiers-le-Bel (2-2).
In the semi-final, the champions of Yvelines flew over the meeting against Chatillon (5-1), champion of Hauts-de-Seine.
In the final, the Coigniiennes found Villiers-le-Bel. Serious, diligent, supportive and realistic, the Yvelinoises quickly took the break and repelled the assaults from Val-d’Oisiennes. Never worried, they can let their joy burst at the final whistle with a 6-2 victory and a first academic title for college.
