A sequence of Darwin Nunez, filmed in training with Uruguay, will not help the reputation of the Liverpool striker.
Recruited at a high price by Liverpool, who invested 75 million euros (plus 25 million euros in bonuses) to bring him from Benfica, Darwin Nunez has had a strange reputation since his arrival with the Reds.
Not good enough technically, the Uruguayan would not be worth the price bet by Liverpool, and would be a scam. This is the theory that has been circulating since the preparation matches of Jurgen Klopp and his men. In official competition, Nunez started strong with a goal in the Community Shield, then a goal and an assist against Fulham in the Premier League. But a red card received in the following match cut him off, and his return to the field was discreet.
During the international break, Nunez joined Luis Suarez & Co at the gathering of the Uruguayan selection. But a video filmed during a workout will not fix his image. In one exercise, we see the Reds striker recover the ball by crushing his opponent’s ankle. Then in the process, Nunez transplants in the center and completely unscrews his strike. Or maybe it’s a center: it’s so bad that we don’t even know.

We will skip the derogatory comments on poor Nunez, the trend on social networks being the comparator to Erling Haaland, the center forward recruited by Manchester City, Liverpool’s main competitor. It is true that, for the moment, there is no photo between the two men…
