Edge of Anjou. Orée d’Anjou Table tennis, a club in great shape

Created 40 years ago, the Orée d’Anjou table tennis club is in great shape. Evidenced by the recent results of the various teams.

The pennant team won 13 to 5 against team 3 from Ponts-de-Cé and consolidates its place as leader of the D1 pool, with a possible accession to the pre-regional for the second phase in January 2023, especially after Bouchemaine’s draw, says club president Maxime Aillerie. Team 2 logically lost against leader Andrezé Beaupréau, in D2, with a score of 13 to 5, despite good performances for Jérémy Arnaud in particular and a return from injury. Team 3 wins by a wide margin 17-1 against Saint-Macaire in D4 and consolidates its second place in the pool. The club has around 60 members. Young people are trained in Drain on Tuesday evenings, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., by Nathan, sports educator.

The club will take part in the Téléthon d’Orée d’Anjou scheduled for the first weekend of December. It organizes on December 2, from 8 p.m., at the Laurenthéa room in Saint-Laurent-des-Autels, a “Gentlemen” tournament, by team of two players, a player or a licensed player associated ) to an unlicensed player or two unlicensed players. The participation of five euros per person will be fully reversed in favor of the Telethon. Registration is on site from 7:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the tournament to start at 8 p.m.
