Eurocup: In Trento, Paris Basketball offers itself a second victory

This success in Italy (86-91) follows that obtained in Turkey against Ankara (75-90) against a defeat at home to Hapoel Tel Aviv.

A quartet appears on the Parisian side in this victory made up of Kyle Allman (23 points, 5 assists), Axel Toupane and Ismaël Kamagate both in double doubles (16 points and 11 rebounds for the first, 14 points and 10 rebounds for the second) and Jeremy Evans (6 points and 8 rebounds).

The Parisians were up to 16 points ahead after 30 minutes (56-72) before resisting the revolt of the Italians led by Darion Atkins (24 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists).

“We had a lot of away games at the start of the season. Obviously we’re missing two of our starters (Tyrone Wallace and Aamir Simms) so coming here against a really good team who I know were desperate for a win tonight and playing the way we did really makes me proud, ”commented Parisian coach Will Weaver. “It’s a great victory for us. We just won in the French League on Saturday (Editor’s note: in Pau), so it’s two in a row for us. It’s the first time this has happened since the start of the season, so that’s great. We have to keep going, Ty Wallace will come back and we want to keep winning,” added Axel Toupane.

Paris Basketball is thus in the process of proving that it is up to the wild card offered by the Eurocup and which has made many cringe in France.
