The DFCO is continuing its recruitment with the arrival of Meriame Terchoun (1.62m), a 26-year-old Swiss international. FC Zürich player since 2012, with a quick move to FC Basel, she left the Swiss championship for the first time in her career. With Zürich, she participated in the conquest of 15 national titles, whether in the league or in the Swiss Cup, and played in the Champions League.
Endowed with a solid experience, this midfielder is able to evolve on all offensive positions. “This versatility is important for the staff. Beyond her technical quality, she is a player with character, which is what we need in the locker room.” describes Sylvain Carric, director general of the women’s section of the DFCO.
Called up regularly with the national team from the youth categories, Meriame Terchoun has 15 selections in A. She was part of the group that participated in Euro 2022, but did not come into play. A data that she intends to do well evaluate through their performance at the DFCO: “In the future, we have to play more and I will do everything to prove to the coach that I deserve it. Meriame Terchoun will wear number 11 this season, and is the Dijon club’s eighth signing, the previous signing being Canadian Jenna Hellstrom on July 19.
