GOLF – The national elite of 2 senior men’s teams in Chalon until Sunday

The Golf de la Roseraie welcomes since this Tuesday and until Sunday the title of France of the teams 2 senior men 2022.

After a day devoted to reconnaissance of the terrain, the serious things began this Wednesday with the first round of the qualifying phase, disputed in stroke play.

This is not the first time that the “eighteen holes” of Saint-Nicolas has been the scene of a federal event. To go back only to the last five years, the club dear to President Carl Fraselle has already organized the French championship for senior teams 3rd division men group D in 2019 and the French championship for men’s teams 4th division hen D in 2021. But this is the first time that a title has been named after several days of competition.
A title coveted by thirty clubs from all over France. The colors of our department are drawn by the six golfers from Avoise, Lionel Joly (index 11), Eric Favre (index 12) Georges Puech (index 14), Olivier Perret (index 16), Jocelyn Pichan (index 16) and Bruno Fourneray (index 16). The second club in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region for lice is Chailly. Although they know the Chalonnais course for having come to play there several times, the Montchaninois will have a lot of trouble being among the eight teams qualified for Friday’s quarter-finals. So great is the adversity.

A high level board
What about the Toulousans of the Country Club of Palmola whose index is 7 or less, or of Aix-Marseille, whose best player has a handicap of 1. We also imagine that the representatives of the Golf Club de Lyon, the Golf Bordeaux, Bussy-Guermantes, or the Golf International d’Arcachon, some of the largest French golf courses, did not come to play on the banks of the Saône. Like all the other formations, like the Golf du Château de Rochefort, two players of which came to train a few days ago during a Sunday competition.
The tournament is refereed by the Vosgien Gabriel Peso, assisted by the Burgundian Michel Corberand and by the Alsatian Dominique Muller.
