Gramat. Handball: resumption of competitions for the JSG

The under 15 boys of JSG Handball traveled to Maurs on Saturday at the start of the afternoon. Great victory for Clément Bouygues’ teammates. The instructions of the Gramatois coach will be to continue to play, to work in a simplified way and to keep the best possible attitude, which has been appreciated and valued by the Maursois.

The under-18 boys from the Figeac Gramat agreement received the neighbors from Villefranche-de-Rouergue, in Figeac. Almost complete workforce on the side of the agreement for a lively and disputed match where the two collectives remained very close. The victory of the cartel is encouraged.

Sunday 18, it was for the under 13s to receive the other Lotoise teams in Gramat for the traditional mixing tournament at the start of the season. It makes it possible to establish a first hierarchy with a view to composing the championship pools. The two Gramatoise teams played two matches of 2×15 minutes with a balanced record of one victory and one defeat each.

Among the girls, a great introduction for the young Gramatoise, many of whom are still under 11 years old. The first match against Gourdon was very close and the protégés of Stéphanie Matéos managed to impose their handball to win the match. In the second match against Saint-Céré, the Gramatoises led at half-time before yielding in the second period to lose by one goal. Very young team also on the boys’ side with there too some under 11s and a first match logically lost against the Figeacois, more mature and seasoned.

The last match of the weekend concerned the Gourdon Gramat agreement in women’s under 17 years which moved, this Sunday afternoon, to Montauban. Facing the Montalbanaises, our young Lotoises bravely defended their chances but will end up giving in and losing.

The main poster of Saturday concerned the senior girls who started their Prenational championship with the reception of the Caduran neighbors on Saturday evening at the municipal gymnasium. Nice victory for the Gramatoises 28 to 22, but there is no nice winner without a brave opponent, and this was the case on Saturday evening (read the article from Cahors in our edition of Tuesday 20).
