Some change took place at the beginning July 2022 in the handball club Juvardeil (Maine et Loire), high place of the practice which wants to find its superb. For this, the club intends to structure itself.
The president has changed. Samuel Priorformer president, hands over but remains in the office where he will be responsible for the “Club Project” commission.
“We will rely a lot on him to get subsidies, in particular”, explains the new president, Germain Tessier.
Germain will be the shoulder of Pauline Piton, vice presidentmore in charge of the sporting part.
Originally from Baugeois, Germain Tessier to live in Juvardeil for six years.
He didn’t know the hand until late. He is signed in the club for health reasons which require a sport practice.
“But I got hurt a lot and I didn’t play much in the end”, explains this commercial director at BMW in Angers, 38, at the head of a team of thirteen people.
He intends to rely on his live to “structure the club is the priority. In the end there were only seven or eight of us in the office. there we are 18, with commissions set up and specific missions. »
This club which has known the 200 licenses still shows good numbers with 170 members. “For a village of 800 inhabitants, it’s not bad. »
School and events
The senior men’s and women’s teams play in Regional. But again, the goal is to structure.
“Seniors didn’t really have dedicated coaches. There, it’s choosing candidates. Our goal in the long term would be to hire an employee, as was the case a few years ago.”
“But the person was on rotation and when it went to 100%, we only had can’t afford to keep it. »
To remedy this, the club intends to seek partners.
Among young people – “we have about fifty children under 13” – the aim is also to learn the basics.
“We are going to relaunch the youth tournament. The club pays an educator who goes to five schools around Juvardeil and we organize a final tournament where we take care of transport. We had 180 young people coming, and four have already signed. »
Finally, last objective: restart events and ensuring matches are no longer a daycare center where parents drop their kids off and walk away. We want them to stay to create a club spirit. »
