Hendaye wants to validate the work undertaken

Victim of an avalanche of injuries to executive players, Stade Hendayais would like to reassure itself with a victory against Soustons (Sunday, 3:30 p.m.)

The start of the season is not the easiest for Hendaye. Before talking about the game, on the first two games of the season as well as on the two preparation games, the club saw the firefighters land on the field. “The fate is relentless. The injuries are always serious and deprive us of boys for the entire season. That of captain Andotx Taillebres in the neck was symbolic because he was a locker room talisman, but now we have to deal with it, ”says coach Christophe Quittic.

For the many players who remain, the start of the season is also difficult in accounting terms with two defeats (against Boucau-Tarnos and Saint-Paul-lès-Dax) but the coach is not worried. Rather waiting for a victory that could serve as a trigger just before a one-week break.

“We lose a defensive bonus which would have been interesting in Saint-Paul on the last action. Afterwards, the group does not give up and gives their all to each training session. A victory this weekend would validate all this work and will be good, even if we know that it will be hard against Soustons, who wants to be in this championship. We will have to be in the action and try to take them from the start. »
