Manchester United are in serious financial trouble

Last season, the club announced a loss of 132 million euros after the 106 million of the previous season. But that’s not all.

As if that were not enough, at the same time the club’s debt is constantly increasing. It went from 481 million euros last season to more than 590.7 million euros this year (+22%). Cliff Baty, financial director of the club gave some explanations: “the absence of a summer tour in July 2021” but also “the consequences of the weakening of the pound sterling”.
