The Danish international from Aalborg Andreas Holst Jensen will be from Montpellier for at least three years.
Aalborg’s Danish international back, Andreas Holst Jensen, has signed a three-year contract with Montpellier, the Hérault club announced in a press release on Friday.
Jensen (2.02m, 104kg), 27, had taken part for several weeks in the preparation of the team led by coach Patrice Canayer before signing his contract.
Accustomed to major European events, the left-back had been playing since 2017 in Aalborg, a Danish club finalist in the 2021-2022 Champions League.
His arrival in Montpellier compensates for the departure of Swedish full-back Karl Wallinius.
After a very successful season in the Hérault club which he had joined the previous summer, the powerful defender, crowned European champion in January with Sweden, signed a contract with Kiel, one of the most prestigious German clubs.
Montpellier, ranked 4th last year, will start next season with a trip to Istres in early September.
