Mosque of the Riviera Golf: the new main imam Moumine Traoré invests

EL Hadj Moumine Traoré, was enthroned as the main imam of the great mosque of the Riviera Golf this Saturday in the presence of several Muslim authorities and sister communities noted on site this Saturday, November 19, 2022.

He succeeds Cheick Aïma Mamadou Traoré, ex-president of the Superior Council of Imams of Côte d’Ivoire and ex-main imam of the great mosque of the Riviera Golf, who died on April 13, 2021.

Aged 56, the new imam of the great mosque of the Riviera Golf is committed through his swearing in these terms. “I swear to assume my responsibilities as the main imam of the great mosque of the Riviéra Golf in Abidjan, in strict compliance with the prescriptions of the Holy Quran and the suna of the Prophet Muhammad SW).

For his part, El Hadj Ousmane Diakité, the first leader of the Muslim community in Côte d’Ivoire reminded Imam Moumine Traoré of his main function. “The role of the imam can be divided into several points, but the most important point is to be the identifying model of the members of the community in terms of piety, the imam must be the needle that sews the social fabric. It must not be the blade that splits the social fabric,” further advised the president of COSIM.

Cheickoul Aïma Ousmane Diakité finally expressed blessings to the Muslim community in general and the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, in particular, for his development actions.
