The President of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe will launch this Wednesday, August 10, 2022, the CAF’s new club competition, the Super League.
The African Super League is coming. The first edition will see the light of day in August 2023, with the endowment of 100 million dollars ($11M for the winner). It will probably be contested by 24 top-ranked African teams, with a maximum of two clubs per country and according to the criteria of the governing body of continental football.
The official launch of this new African competition will be made this Wednesday from Arusha, Tanzania at 11 a.m., on the sidelines of the ordinary general assembly of CAF which will be held at the same place.
