Chaumont Handball 52 has been downgraded from Nationale 2 to Nationale 3 Territoriale for this 2022-2023 season. While waiting for the calendar, it is the hen which will feature the Prefectural elections which have been unveiled recently.
First, Chaumont will be accompanied by another relegated, who is none other than Koenigsmacker, who also appeared in Pool 5 of National 2.
The new opponents will come from five departments of the Grand Est: Marne, first of all, which will be represented by Taissy and Reims-Champagne; Aube, with the reserve of Rosières Saint-Julien; the Meuse, via Alliance Sud-Meusienne; the Moselle via the Metz, Montigny-lès-Metz and Rodemack reserve, exclusively Koenigsmacker; finally, Meurthe-et-Moselle, for which Toul will play. A total of ten teams will compete. For Chaumont, the recruitments carried out (and still in progress) have the sole objective of remaining at least in N3, in the best case scenario going up to N2. This National 3 has the particularity of only offering regional chickens. In other words, there will be no more trips to the Paris region, as was the case in National 2. The N3 will not allow Chaumont to take part in the Coupe de France.
The championship calendar should fall in the coming days. The Chaumontaises, recovered by Gwénaël Richard, will resume their season on August 17 to sharpen their weapons.
