Ngani Laumape is no longer a Stade Français player. The three-quarter New Zealand international center was released from his contract after just one year. The two parties “agreed to put an end to their collaboration following the difficulties of family adaptation that Ngani told us about”explained the Parisian club on Monday in a press release.
The 29-year-old, who has 15 caps with the All Blacks (eight tries), arrived in Paris last summer from the Hurricanes (Super Rugby), with a reputation as a “wrecking ball”. But in 22 games in the pink jersey of the Stade Français, the New Zealander has never really managed to forget the international tricolor Gaël Fickou, whom he was to replace in the center of the Parisian attack.
