Nick Kyrgios rolls out in Washington, Adrian Mannarino eliminated

Facing the American Tommy Paul (seeded n°14), Kyrgios did the job, in hot and humid conditions, to win 6-3, 6-4 in 1h25.

In the next round, the Australian will face another American in the person of Reilly Opelka. A tour that Adrian Mannarino will not see. Like Benoit Paire a little earlier in the day, the Frenchman stopped at the stage of the second round even if, unlike his compatriot, he did not go far from overcoming the obstacle Grigor Dimitrov.

After equalizing with one set everywhere, erasing an irrelevant start since he had lost the first five games of the match, the Frenchman managed a break to lead 3-1 then 4-2 in the last set, before leaving the Bulgarian to return to his height then to give in on the first match point on his serve at 6-5 after a little over two hours (6-1, 3-6, 7-5).

Finally, note the elimination of the Pole Hubert Hurcakz, seeded n°2 defeated by the Finn Emil Ruusuvuori (6-4, 7-6).
