Prat-Bonrepaux. Rugby: it’s back to school time for the Canaries

Vacations are over for the Canaries! The rugby players of the Pratéen Athletic Club (CAP) represent the way to the Prat-Bonrepaux stadium from this Friday, August 5 for the first training.

The season brought hope, it saw the return of pleasure. Pleasure to return to the field after two seasons truncated by the pandemic, pleasure to meet up with friends to practice beautiful rugby and score beautiful tries, pleasure to win matches and avoid the hassle of the last places, pleasure finally to see the supporters return to the stadium… Because they too have enjoyed their return to the stands.

He just missed a qualification for the final stages so that “everything goes” And yet it did not escape the Prateans on the ground, but only with “the apothecary accounts” of the authorities…

The season begins with some changes. Training is entrusted to Pierre Larronde and Patrick Maury, assisted by David Dupuy and Nicolas Galy, with Michel Gajan playing the role of coordinator. They must rely on a large workforce, 38 licenses have already been validated, a few others are in the process of being so.

The Prateans will compete in the Occitanie Regional 3 championship, in a pool of 10 clubs. They will discover acquaintances there: the neighbors of the Sports Union of Haut-Salat, the Hauts-Garonnais RC Lavernose-Lacasse and Deux-Rives (grouping of Roques and Roquette), the Hauts-Pyrénéens of the US L’Ayguette , US Mardaing, UA Laloubère and JS Ibos. They get to know the Gersois of L’Isle-de-Noë and Montestruc Gers rugby.

Beginning of the championship on September 18 with the reception of the US of Mardaing.
