Presidents Cup: the United States is a strong parent

Team USA leads 4-1 after Thursday’s foursomes to open the 10th edition.

The Presidents Cup got off to a flying start in the 10th edition, which runs until Sunday at the Quail Hollow Club course in Charlotte, North Carolina. The United States humiliated the international team 4-1 in the opening foursomes on Thursday.

The mighty USA team looked on course for five wins until the Internationals snatched an unexpected point through South Korean Kim Si-woo and Australian Cam Davis, who beat (2 up) the duo American consisting of world number one Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns.

“We will continue to fight, assured Immelman, the captain of the Internationals. No one here expects us to win. We must have this belief deep within us. We are facing perhaps the strongest American team ever assembled on paper.”
