Take a step
Those of the Réolais, what are they for this 2022-2023 season? Fifth in their pre-federal group last year, they want to take a step forward in the coming year and aim for the leading roles in group 3 of the Regional 1 championship.
The Blues, who had returned to training in early August, have given themselves the means to achieve their objective by calling on Julien Espagnet, a specialist in physical preparation. In terms of friendly matches, the men of Alex Davesne and Hubert Pruvot tested each other only once, on August 27 against the reserves of Casteljaloux (14-7).
Exempted on the first day of the championship (they appear in a pool of nine teams), the Réolais are finally making their official debut this weekend. And what a poster to start the season! The Stade Réolais first team hosts SA Trélissac on Sunday (kick-off 3:30 p.m.), at the Raymond Abribat stadium, with the reserve teams as a curtain lever, at 2 p.m.
A reception that we would have hardly imagined not so long ago, and for good reason. Trélissac was still playing in Federal 1 in 2020-2021, a division where he had also finished vice-champion of France in 2018, before experiencing the “descent into hell”, administratively demoted to Regional 1.
