Tennis, ATP – Montreal Tournament 2022: Ruud dominates Molcan

The Norwegian Casper Ruud, seeded n°4, won two sets to nil (7-6 [3]6-3) face Slovak Alex Molcan and advanced to the round of 16 of the Montreal tournament early Wednesday evening at the IGA Stadium in Montreal.

Ruud, ranked No. 7 in the ATP, will face the winner of the upcoming match between American Jenson Brooksby and Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, seeded No. 14 in the Rogers Cup Round of 16.

In the previous round of the Montreal tournament, Molcan, 42nd in the world at the ATP, had won against the American Mackenzie McDonald (7-6 [1]6-4).
