Tennis, ATP – Washington Tournament 2022: Fritz dominates Popyrin

American Taylor Fritz, seeded No. 3, won two sets to zero (6-4, 6-3) against Australian Alexei Popyrin and qualified for the round of 16 of the Washington tournament at the Rock Creek Park Tennis Center in Washington, Wednesday evening.

Fritz, ranked No. 13 in the world at the ATP, will face No. 16 seed Daniel Evans in the Washington Open Round of 16.

Popyrin, ranked 83rd in the ATP, had taken advantage of the abandonment of the qualified Tung-lin Wu (3-3 ab.), during the previous round of the Washington tournament.
