Qualifier Tung-lin Wu was dropped, and that allowed Australian Alexei Popyrin to reach the second round of the Washington tournament on Monday night session at Rock Creek Park Tennis Center in Washington. The score was 3-3 when Wu, 182nd in the world at the ATP, was unable to continue the meeting.
