Monday, September 12, 2022, the municipal council of Ouistreham (Calvados) voted the program authorization for the renovation of indoor tennis courts.
“Limit of obsolescence”
The room built in 1987 offers three courts in green set (hard surface) whose “the tightness of the roofs or roof terraces seems to have reached their limit of obsolescence”, communicated the town hall.
This rehabilitation covers several points. First redo the roof, carry out the thermal and sound insulation, take over the door frames, renovate the boiler room, make the club house accessible upstairs (disabled access).
With photovoltaic panels?
The extension of the building to accommodate the Ouistrehamaise section of table tennis or padel courts is also necessary.
The renovation of the covered tennis courts should be effective by 2025. €3 million has been budgeted.
The complete replacement of the roof is planned “if possible with photovoltaic panels for an energy saving of 20 to 40%”, notes the mayor of Ouistreham Romain Bail.
