Tennis: the Open de Tence begins its final draw

The Tence Tennis Open entered the final draw on Thursday evening. The semi-finals and finals are played on Sunday on the courts of the Pont stadium in Tence.

The level has risen crescendo and the best elements will now aim for the finals. In men, the final table begins Wednesday evening with the 16th finals.

Pierre Montrieul (-2/6, Clermont) is the first to qualify for the round of 16 after his victory over Chris Devoize (1/6, Bourg-de-Péage), 6-4, 7-6. He will face Grenoble’s Mathis Debru (-4/6) on Friday afternoon.

Among the men, the seeds go into the quarter-finals: Hugo Voljacques (n° 91, Annecy), finalist in 2021 and seeded number one, Rishab Agarwal (n° 100, India), Robin Cocouvi (-15, Bagneux) and Antoine Monaco (-15, Thionville).

Among the women, the quarters are opposed to Emmanuelle Salas (-15, Annecy) to Zoé Madelmont (2/6, Le Puy-en-Velay) and Cassandra Lecoanet (2/6, Valence) to Célia Morel (-2/ 6, Grenoble). Then the two seeds will start in the semi-finals: Thanh-Lan Truong (-15, La Verpillère) and Sopiko Tsitskishvili (-15, Montbéliard).

The semi-finals air Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m., the women’s final at 2 p.m. and the men’s final at 3:30/4 p.m.
