Good surprise ! The name of the first participant in the Open Markal de Bourg-de-Péage (Drôme) which will take place from December 9 to 11 has been dropped. This is the spectacular Kazakh Alexander Bublik listed today 44th place in the ATP ranking.
A particular player
Alexander Bublik, 25, will therefore be on the bill for the 5th edition of theOpen Markal next December. The old 30th global is a separate player on the circuit. Capable of the best and the worst on and off the court, he is known for playing tennis just for the money. “I play to make money, in the end I play tennis for that,” he said after his retirement from the Monte-Carlo tournament this year, judging that he hated clay.
However, for the moment, a year 2022 is realized. He won the ATP 250 tournament in Montpellierand counts prestigious victories against Alexander Zverev, Gaël Monfils, Mattéo Berrettini, or even Casper Ruudthe recent Norwegian finalist of the US Open against Carlos Alcaraz.
Back to the 2021 edition
The 4th edition of the Open Markal de Bourg-de-Péage would take place from December 10 to 12, 2021 in the presence of 6 professional players and 3 professional players.
Among them, the Australian Alex de Minaure (currently 22th world) had defeated in the final of the French Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, now withdrawn, in 3 sets (2/6 6/1 6/3).
See you for this 5th edition, from December 9 to 11 at the Complexe Vercors in Bourg-de-Péage.
