Tennis, WTA – Budapest 2022 tournament: Waltert beats Bucsa

Spaniard Cristina Bucsa gave up, and this allowed Switzerland’s Simona Waltert to qualify for the second round of the Budapest tournament on Tuesday night session at the Római Tennis Academy in Budapest. The score was 4-0 when Bucsa, ranked 112th in the WTA, was unable to continue the match.

Waltert, ranked No. 119 in the WTA, will face the winner of the upcoming match between Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto and Hungarian Anna Bondar, seeded No. 2 in the second round of the Budapest Open.
