The Lombez-Samatan handball club has made a successful departure

After a complicated 2020-2021 season at Handball-Club Lombez-Samatan, senior girls begin this new season with a few changes including the arrival of a new coach, Fabien Bonnet, accompanied by Rémy Simonato and Benoît Mourcel. A big summer preparation and a few friendlies later, the girls started their season this weekend against L’Isle-Jourdain. After a sluggish start to the match, the “red and white” quickly took the lead in scoring to lead 11-07 to the lemons. The 2nd period was identical to the 1st, with a lot of defensive work and good things in attack placed, which allowed the locals to win the match with a final score of 25-16. Eva Larrieu in the cages was able to replace the two absent goalkeepers at short notice. Next match Saturday, September 24, in Soues, at 7 p.m.

Girls under 15 played as a curtain lever for senior girls against Rabastens-de-Bigorre. After 2 well controlled third times which they won with a score of 6-5, they collapsed in the 3rd and lost 14-22. It’s a good result knowing that half of the girls were in the category below last year. They will play again on Saturday September 24, as a curtain lever, near Soues, at 5 p.m.
