SPECIAL RUGBY SERIES – Assessment of the French team after the Autumn tests
Less than a year from the World Cup in France, Fabien Galthié’s men are among the favorites of the competition. Must say that the France team has not lost a match since March 2021. 13 wins in a row, a record they will try to extend on February 5, 2023 for the opening of the 6 Nations Tournament in Rome against the ‘Italy.
But during this Autumn tour, succeeding in beating Australia (30-29), South Africa (30-26) and Japan (35-17), these are very solid results and it also marks the minds of opponents of the blues.
Regarding the players, two of them particularly stood out. Thomas Ramos, the back of the Toulouse stadium, provided the fundamentals of the position with a pinch of audacity with the ball in hand and above all a coolness against the poles with a very nice 20 out of 24.
The other player is Charles Olivon, the third line of Toulon, was back in the France team. And he quickly reminded everyone that he was both aerial and hanging in contact but above all a scorer with his 10th try in 28 selections.
On the other hand, the discussion on the position of opener will be revealed after the lackluster performances of Romain Ntamack and the dazzling entries of Matthieu Jalibert.
See you on February 5 in Rome for Italy-France, match of the 1st day of the 6 Nations Tournament.
