Transfers: Zinedine Ferhat will not sign for AS Saint-Étienne

The leaders of AS Saint-Étienne spared no effort to convince the versatile right winger, Zinedine Ferhat (29), to join them. After having already tried to obtain his loan from Nîmes (Ligue 2) during the winter transfer window, the Greens recently returned to the charge. Especially since the Algerian international (13 caps) is coming to the end of his contract on June 30.

Ferhat felt ready to take up the challenge and wanted to come and play in the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium. But not at any price – he would have asked for a salary of more than €100,000 gross per month – and above all, not in Ligue 2. If he received an offer from Turkey, he would like to stay in France. Several Ligue 1 clubs (Angers, Brest, Lorient) would also have come for information.
