For their first outing, the Cameroonians will oppose the Italian national team this weekend.

Cameroon wants to go as far as possible in the women’s volleyball world championship. And it is with a team reorganized to almost 70% that the Cameroon team wants to make the tricolor shine.

Against Italy next Saturday, three new players are making their national team debut. They fill the void left by the former captain, Christine Nana and other volleyball players like Stéphanie Fotso and Laetitia Moma Bassoko.

To ensure a remarkable performance during the tournament which is played in Holland and Slovenia, the indomitable lionesses had three months of preparation to sharpen their claws.

Claws that the teammates of captain Simone Bikatal will have to take out in a rather tough chicken. Cameroon opposes Italy in the Netherlands. Then will come the match against Kenya, later and the one against Puerto Rico. Cameroon’s last match will be against Belgium.

Only the first four teams in each group will qualify for the second phase of the World Championship women’s volleyball.
